Daily Bell Schedule for 2023-24: New Wednesday Release Time School starts at 8:35 a.m., with dismissal at 3:10 p.m. every day but Wednesday, when early release is at 1:00 p.m. Note that this is a change from previous years, when Wednesday dismissal was 10 minutes earlier. Upper Elementary Philosophy 4th and 5th graders are beyond pre-K-3rd learners, but they don’t yet have the adolescent development needs of middle school learners. During this learning stage, students are strengthening their cognitive, social, emotional and physical development. Upper Elementary schools support this age group by being designed with flexibility and collaboration in mind; including physical challenges and opportunities; and developing leadership skills so students can explore in service to the school and community.
